TMG - Important role in World Meeting of Families & Papal Visit

The World Meeting of Families Conference together with its meetings management partners, Talley Management Group, Inc. (TMG) welcomed 20,000 plus convention attendees from around the globe for the 8th World Meeting of Families. The historic Papal Visit culminated with thousands of additional participants for the public mass.

TMG has worked as a strategic partner on this event for close to two years. Gregg Talley the CEO said, “We are honored to be a part of this historic convention and our team worked tirelessly to offer the highest level of service to our client the World Meeting of Families.” TMG’s responsibilities included; full planning and logistical convention management of the conference, registration, hotel accommodations, speaker management, exhibition and sponsorship sales and management, décor and AV along with ADA Accessibility.  In addition, TMG sat on the logistical operations committee for the Papal addition to a multitude of other obligations that come along with this high profile event.

The TMG Team arrived on site at the Philadelphia Convention Center on September 18, and finished onsite duties September 28th. Days began at 5:00 AM with a round-up of staff for daily updates. Every day brought new challenges met by excitement. Just over 1,400 hundred children registered for the youth conference alone, and EWTN-Eternal World Television Network broadcasted each day from the event. The convention had many moving parts including daily Mass, Keynotes, breakouts, luncheon for 3000 plus the Marketplace.

A highlight was making two exhibit halls in the Pennsylvania Convention Center a church for daily mass for over 10,000 people”

17,000 attendees went through registration and then returned to registration later in the week for their Papal Event Passes
